I had Mr. Pring for two years of Chemistry in Needles, California, where he first began his career in California. We were both from West Virginia, which sealed our early relationship. Years later we refreshed our relationship when I became a Vice-Principal at San Bernardino High, where Bob was the Chemistry teacher. We played a lot of golf with the teacher group. Mr, Pring was the Chem and Physics teacher for my wife, my daughter, and my son. He said it was time to retire, he had had all the Kings. I became the principal at SBHS for Bob's last couple of years before he retired. Bob was a hell of an athlete: a low handicapped golfer, a super basketball two handed set shot. Above it all, Bob Pring was a teriffic human being, well liked and admired by all.

I had Mr Pring for Algebra class and he helped tutor me in Chemisty. Without him I don't think I could've gotten through Chemistry. He was the best teacher in my high school career. I had written him several years ago after I learned of the passing of Mrs Pring to express my condolences and to tell him how much of an influence he had on me. I let him know that because he was such an amazing teacher I was able to tutor my mom in Algebra when she went back to school to get her GED. Happy to say she passed. Rest in peace, sir. You were one of the good ones and will never be forgotten.

Mr. Pring was a tremendous teacher and coach at San Bernardino High School. He was a helpful science teacher and JV Football Coach. I graduated in 1973.

Bob was a true friend and a wonderful man. We shared many special occasions, trips, dinners, and parties with him and his deceased wife, Sharon and will forever be grateful to have known them. His family and friends will cherish precious memories forever.

My condolences go out to the Pring family on the loss of Robert. He was a kind man with a huge heart for teaching and coaching. My sister was married to Robert's son in the late 80's early 90's. My prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

I have long and fond memories of my friend, Bob. Every member of my immediate family had him for a chemistry teacher. I have considered him a friend since he taught in Needles, CA until he taught for me at San Bernardino High School when I was principal there. After our retirement we enjoyed many rounds of golf together.
Our condolences to his family,
Daniel and Linda King

Professor Robert Pring was an outstanding teacher at SBHS. I consider myself very fortunate to have taken his math classes. He inspired me to research and learn. I thank him greatly for his advice about going back to College when I returned from my service in the Army and tour in Vietnam. After graduating from College, he invited me back to SBHS to speak to his classes about my career in Computer Audit with GAO and opportunities in Federal Service. My deepest sympathy and respect to his family.
