ANTHONY ADRIAN RICO
Apr. 23, 2011 - Aug. 17, 2014
Anthony Adrian Rico, 3, of El Centro passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 as the result of a tragic fire in his home. He was born April 23, 2011 to Alexis Nichole Carrillo and Javier Antonio Rico.
Anthony touched so many lives and was loved by all who met him in his little time here. He will be missed by many. Anthony had a very close bond with his mother, Alexis. He was a very loving and cheerful little boy who was also very active. He enjoyed watching Spiderman as he was a little dare devil himself.
Anthony was loved by his Grandma Judy. He spent Wednesdays and Thursdays with her while his mother attended school. He was spoiled by his grandma and he knew it because he spoke very little but knew to say, "you buy" to his grandma.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alexis Nichole Carrillo and his uncle Francisco.
Anthony is survived by his father, Javier Antonio Rico; grandmother Judy Huerta; great-grandpar- ents, uncles, aunts and numerous cousins.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, September 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro with rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass will be held Thursday, September 11 at 9 a.m. also at the church with Father Mark Edmond and Deacon Domingo Dominguez officiating. Anthony will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery following services.

Nature
As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.
