FRANCES BUTLER Obituary
Frances Relita Butler, 57, of El Centro, CA passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017. Frances was born on February 21, 1960 in Fort Huachuca, AZ. She married Russ Butler on May 27, 1978 in El Centro, CA. She loved playing sports, her pets, art projects and bragging about her 6 grandchildren. Russ and Relita raised three sons. She had a passion for riding motorcycles with Russ. For 19 years, Relita worked beside her loving husband at Butler Automotive. She also worked for Costco for numerous years. She is survived by her husband, Russ Butler of El Centro; sons, Micah (Yesenia) Butler, children Christopher, Desiree and Russ of El Centro, Joshua (Karla) Butler, children Emma and Noah of Farmersville, TX, Travis and son, Benjamin of Avondale, AZ; parents, Travis and Frances Gray of El Centro, CA; sisters, Renna Conant, Relonda Lee and Regina Conway; Jeanette Butler, Norma Schoonover, Dayna Standen and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley, CA.

Although I lost touch with Relita for many years, I will always remember playing Red Rover in the Gray's yard and being best friends in the third grade. She was a great childhood friend. My condolences to all the Gray and Butler families..

My condolences to the family. Last time I saw Relita was 1986. I came back to EC to visit family. Getting into town from driving all night, I stopped at the 7/11 by I.V. Cycle Center to get some coffee and she came over with a big hug. We are all very lucky to have known her.

Relita was not just a friend but true family. She was in my life as long as I could possibly remember and was always kind of like a big sister to me. She trusted me with her three precious boys and always made sure I was her first pick for a babysitter. Of course that's just the type person she was, very giving and caring. There was nothing more precious to her than her family and she will truly be missed. Relita will always be remembered as the type of woman that a lot of women wish they could be. We love you all and are so sorry that we can't be there with you to say goodbye.
