JAMES PATRICK BELL

Nov. 6, 1962 – May 24, 2025

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, James "Jimmy" Patrick Bell, 62, son of Bonnie and Frank Angelo. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Timothy; grandparents, uncles, aunts, and several cousins.

Jimmy, the fourth of six children, grew up in El Centro and attended Desert Gardens Elementary, Wilson Jr. High, and Central Union High School. He later met and married Donna Walker, had two children, and moved to San Diego, where he continued his education at San Diego City College. He received his certification as a Pipefitter/Welder, and was a proud union member of the UA Local 230.

Jimmy loved heavy metal music, and attended many concerts. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings. He played darts competitively, was an avid bowler, and loved animals.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, James (Jessica) and Josh; granddaughters, Athena and Olivia; sister, June (Joseph) Bernal; sister, Debra Bell; brother, Joseph (Christie) Angelo; sister, Beatrice (Mike) Hashem; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his sweet pitbull, Bella.

Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 795 LaBrucherie Rd., on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Rosary at 8:30 a.m., mass at 9 a.m., followed by a luncheon at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 662 W. State St.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Imperial County or Dee's Rescue.

Jimmy was a humble man with a big heart. We will dearly miss him.
