JANICE KAISER Obituary

Janice Hurley Kaiser, 82, of Carlsbad, CA. passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 from a Heart Condition at the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Janice was born in Bakersfield California on November 18, 1936. She was the second daughter of Jerry and Oleta Hurley. The family moved to El Centro when Janice was a young girl. She attended all her schools in El Centro, graduating from Central Union High School in 1954. She was active in school activities and was selected to be a School Majorette in her Junior year. At the same time she worked in the evening as a Cashier in the little ticket booth that then was always isolated at the front of the Theater. She married Albert Kaiser of El Centro, in 1954. After marriage she and Albert, now a US Air Force pilot, started their life as a Military Family. They, as most military, traveled the world and raised their family. She was a typical military wife who could do it all because Al was frequently called away for distant duties. Janice often had to sell our home, cars and make all the arrangements to move our family to the new Duty Station. She made a good life for us all. She was very active in the boys sports and schools. She worked many hours as a Volunteer at Base hospitals and schools. Due to the moves and separations as a family, we learned the most precious part of our lives was our family and that Mom was the one that held it all together. She was our rock, our beautiful and dear wife and mom, Janice. She was preceded in death by her mother, Oleta Hurley; father, Gerald Hurley and sister, Beverly Hurley Betteley. Janice is survived by her husband, Albert Kaiser; sons, Richard, Jeffrey and Craig Kaiser of San Diego County; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services to be announced at a later date.
