JESS Z. CORDERO

May 8, 1916 - Mar. 5, 2011



Jess Cordero, 94, of Calexico passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 of Kidney Failer in El Centro, Hospital.
He was born May 8, 1916 in Alamogordo, New Mexico and was married to Rosa A. Cordero on January 2, 1980 in Carson City, Nevada. Jess was Head Custodian at Merced High School. He enjoyed dancing, cooking, and B.B.Q.'s and loved traveling.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret LaVoy; brothers, Paul and Manual Cordero.
Jess is survived by his sons, Jess (Sally) Cordero and Conrad Cordero of Merced, CA; daughter, Froyla Torres of Modesto, CA; sister, Alice Rosales; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 6 - 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers 1820 Imperial Ave. Calexico. Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Calexico.
