JOHN PADGETT Obituary

JOHN PADGETT

May 27, 1949 – Aug. 21, 2025

John was born in Clovis, CA, attended Roosevelt High School, and was a Vietnam Veteran who loved his country, his family, and a good motorcycle ride. John passed away peacefully, at home, on August 21, 2025, in Fresno, CA.

John is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his daughter, Kelly Bateman, and her husband, Tim of Hillsboro, OR; son, Jeff Padgett of Modesto, CA; three grandsons, Alexander Fittje of Beaverton, OR; Harold Padgett of Tacoma, WA; Triston Padgett of Modesto, CA; and four great-grandchildren, Madison Woitte, Haizley Fittje, Aurora Edous, and Alana Edous. He is also survived by four siblings, Victor Padgett of Greenfield, CA; Barbara Narvais of El Centro, CA; Benny Padgett of Cheney, WA; and Doc Padgett of Cedaredge, CO. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

John will be remembered for his loyalty to his family, friends and co-workers, his love for building motorcycles from the ground up, as well as his plumbing skills. He worked as a plumber for over 40 years. His children, Kelly and Jeff, were both amazed at his ability to walk a person through any plumbing issue, just over the phone.

John had a gentle, loving soul, was adventurous, and funny. He loved playing harmless, practical jokes on family, friends and co-workers, and always enjoyed a good laugh.

There will be a Celebration of Life for John at his family home on October 12, 2025, at 1 p.m. Contact any family member for details.

We miss you John.
