Dear Dad
Its been slightly over a month since you departed from our daily lives. My last two years caring for you and mom were worth more then all the accomplishments and fame and success life has brought me. I miss you beyond words. Im left thinking of how much more could of done for you, but anymore would of been taking you to Puerto Rico where you played and always shared your fond memories. I grew up close to you, Saturdays you take me and my brother to your Ford Motors Garage and we watch you work away at cars that I felt were junk after they were handed to you all totalled after some serious car accident. Then within a couple of weeks you show me the finish product, a brand new fresh painted fix bodyshop car, and your smile, your bosses reaction yelling GRANDE! YOUR THE BEST!! And your humble attitude, your god given talent, you dedicated 6 days a week work, yeah mom complained that you were often gone but you worked very hard to provide for our family. Dad, I miss you. Im trying my best to be like you, and provide for my family, my sons, my future, its not easy doing this without your voice your support. Mom is fragile and cared for by my sisters but us boys are doing our best to do well for our family and kids. I cant imagine how life is to be without you, but I will carry your love and try try try to be like you, the best in every work you took upon your shoulders. Dad I tried, from my business to my personal dedications I tried to be like you, a loving Dad, husband, brother, and uncle, and grandfather, you are one of a kind, I miss you more then you know! Thank you for your last years of your life you gave me,,,its all I have to work with, a love that will endure all time until we see each other again in the new paradise earth. My my how I look to that day to come soon...
I LOVE YOU and MISS YOU and dream of you my father, dad, papi, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY~ from your son, Johnny and panchito (he miss you too)THe mail man says hello, he says he misses your daily shouts WHERE IS MY CHECK? Him and his colleague were mourning for you missing you as they heard yoru daily shouts for 3 decades. Our street Heffernan is silent, in a sad way, your abscense is well missed dad. I love you and carry my tears with me for your abscense, praying we all endure this last days and put our confidence in our Father Jehovah rather then man. Bye Dad, hate to face life without you but I must.
You were my freind and father and I love you forever!

Dear dad,
I want to thank you for giving me the greatest childhood experiences one can have. I remember the time you drove me to school when I was in kindergarten every morning and you allowed me to wear my "sleeping beauty" slippers to school! or the time that you took me to eat hamburgers and fries at A & W, the visits to Mexicali to visit your sisters or my aunts and you bought me sugar cane and paletas..but the most precious memory is the time you would take me to watch my brothers play little league baseball in the evenings at Rockwood School. There you would sit with me in the highest bleecher so you could see the whole picture . You taught me to say "hey batter batter" and we both did it in unison. I remember all the sun flower seeds and snow cones I would eat and you said it was ok to work at the snack shack too. You always wore your "ford uniform" Monday through Friday and your baseball uniform during the weekends. One day Mom and I took you shopping and we bought youa leisure polyester pans with a nice knit shirt and you wore it proudly! I remember that on graduation day you bought me a charm bracelet and that you told me to follow my dreams. By far my most memorable moment was when you allowed me to get baptized as a Jehovah's Wintess even though I had a lot of opposition. You were the greatest father because you always allowed me to be me and to make my own decisions. When you were asked at my wedding who gives this bride away and you said "I DO" so loud that it made me laugh so hard because you kept rehearsing your part the night before, Dad, I learned that with your great strong presence came an inner strength that I inherited. The mild spirit, patience and endurance came from you. I love you for the qualities I received and for your love through troublesome times. Watching you not being able to eat gave me such emotional pain that I prayed for your comfort to come soon. God gave you 5 children to climb all over you and to love you and to take care of you. We will miss you so much...I don't see or drink a corona beer without thinking of you and I feel blessed to have had the privilege to share Jehovah's promise of the resurrection with you. See you soon!
Love,
Irmita

Dear Ito,
Although your presence will be dearly missed, your memory will live on in our hearts forever. It was so nice to be able to spend time with you before your passing. My most memorable moment of you was when I was a child, I had a ton of hats (everyone knows I collect EVERYTHING but was also not much of a sharer) and you kept taking my Giants hat and would wear it everyday. I loved the Padres because it was my dad's team and the Giants because it was my mom's team. Although at the time I was torn between which team was my favorite, I gave you my Giants hat. I can never forget the smile that came over your face from receiving such a small gift. From that day on and until the day you left to go back to Calexico, every time you would see me, you would be wearing that Giants hat and with a huge smile on your face, you would slightly lift your hat at me and would say "Thank you James!" The smile from ear to ear, the proud look in your eyes and your thankful words live on in my heart forever. I love you so much Ito and I look forward to being with you again in Paradise.
"And if you were with [us] tonight,
[We'd] sing to you just one more time.
A song for a heart so big,
god couldn't let it live.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in."
Love Always, James

Dear Dad, I didnt really realized how much I would miss you!!!What you were and said as a father to me growing up as your son will mean and help me so very much to become a father like you to my girls.I truly want to be like you,you were loving, playful, a coach for perfection, you restored cars to their original beauty though cars were at times total,to me you were an artist,so an artist,a discipline man regarding keeping fit at your baseball games and to excell at the peak of your moment pitching "curve" balls, knuckel" balls,"sliders" balls always thinking for not yourself but for you team, to win together as a "team" was your aim and you accomplised this with our mom in your marriage as you were married for fifty years, even though you and mom would argue from time to time like Ricky and Lucy Recardo in the "I love Lucy* TV Show your "LOVE" for each other was solid and deep,as the bible teaches that "love covers a multidude of sins" and truly a team effort in Jehovah's eyes!I truly appreciate now why you force me and Johnny to wash the station wagon on 100 degrees heat on weekends and prune the trees, mow the lawn, many years later I was going to learn the true reason that it has truly help me not to be lazy and to take PRIDE on our performances,to do our utmost in batting,to take focus on the ball regarding work, even if you strke out trying do not give up,get back on the field and next time you step up to the plate to bat you will learn from your mistakes, pratice makes perfect you would say!!Yes dad you meant alot to me and were a great father and you never gave up trough life, thank you for loving me I will miss you and anticipate the "Resurrection"-Victory over God's enemy "Death"!It is then that we will continue our son and father relationship forever!!Love always your son,
Javiersito Villa(WHY!!!!!!)

My thoughts of my Uncle Johnny are when we where all very young and we would get together in Calexico every December. All the memories from those days are still very clear to me. To loose someone we love is always hard. Uncle Johnny and Tia Esperanza I want to thank you very much for opening your house to all of us. Living so far from all of my relatives was difficult. But the family get-togethers were priceless. I will never forget those moments. I love you very much.

To the Family: It was a priviledge to be there with all of you for this sad ocasion and then again happy.Sad because we lost an uncle, husband, father, friend, grandfather and brother, we are going to miss him. Happy because we all came together from far away places to show our love and support to all who suffer the lost of a love one. I don't even remember how long it has been since I last saw Manny, let alone his kidds, also Matis(little Joe's)kids, and the rest of the family. It sure was great to see them all! Johnny and Javier keep the faith and fight hard in this satanic world that has nothing to offer. Only Jehovah's Kingdom can solve all the problems. Irma and Bill You both look the same as the day I walk in the Los Gatos Kingdom Hall.Life has many twist and turns but as long as we don't get tangle up, that's the importance, stay close to Jah. Tom and Jackie what can I say, thanks for your hospitality and for letting me cook in your wonderful clean kitchen, don't forget mom taught me how to cook so sorry for the mess. Jackie had a great time playing golf with you and hope to do it again here in Kc. Don't give up in doing what's right, we got batise to serve Jehovah in the good and bad, keep moving forward. Don't ever forget that Jehovah's name means: that he causes it to become, and what ever you need(according to his will)he will fulfill it. Gloria I also need to thank you for your hard work under these extreme conditions. You spend time with my wife and took her to wine tasting, very memorable. Acts 20:35 was displayed by you and you look very happy in doing it too. Keep it up!

TO MY Family and friends, I am doing much better now that we laid our father in peace, he is my inspiration mentor and left behind a great name. For those fortunate to had seen him play baseball, he was feared by most catchers due to his fast volicity curve ball, ask the cubans who faced him in the Carreabean Series, as he struck out 18 batters! Dad was the man! I love him and look forward to see him in Paradise after the resurrection as Revelations 21:3,4 promises no more death ~ See you soon Dad! Love your Son, JOHNNY & Alexander & Colin
