LARRY R. SELLERS SR.

Oct. 9, 1952 Jan. 8, 2024

Larry R. Sellers Sr. was born on October the 9, 1952, and became an angel in the Lord's kingdom on January 8, 2024, at his home in Moreno Valley, CA. He was born in El Centro, CA, and was raised in Westmorland, CA. He graduated from Brawley Union High School (go wildcats!). After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and received an honorable discharge (Oorah!).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Linder-Sellers; mother, Lula Mae Sellers; father, Willie Sellers; and sisters, Jeanette Johnson, Wilma Sims, Carol Robinson-Goss, Edna Patterson, and Mary Mebane.

He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Avalos; son, Larry Sellers Jr.; grandchildren: Larry Sellers III, Leticia Banuelos, Emily Vasquez, and Emily Cristerna; and three great-grandchildren: Samuel, Matthew, and Damian Banuelos; stepchildren: Pamela Richards, Johnny Bean, and Benjamin Bean; sisters: Edith Sellers, Donna Sellers, Leatha Sambolah, and Debra Whitehead; brother: Willie Sellers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on January 26, 2024 at Grace Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 10250 Cypress Ave., Riverside, CA, 92503. Military honors will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on February 5, 2024 at 1:45 p.m., 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA, 92518.
