MARGARITA MEJIA Obituary
Margarita G. Mejia was born in San Bernardino, California. At age 7 her father took her and her siblings to Zacatecas, Mexico. Later she lived in Torreon, Coahuila and Luis B. Sanchez, Sonora. From there she returned to California where she raised her children in the City of Calexico. Mrs. Mejia was preceded in death by her husband, O. Mejia; her sister, Consuelo Velez; brother, Manuel Gonzalez; son, Max Gonzalez and daughter, Maria Elena Cervantes. She is survived by her children, Tana Mendez, Maria R. Gonzalez, Juan J. Gonzalez, Victor F. Gonzalez, Alicia Mejia, Jose Mejia, Carmen King, and Alex Mejia, in addition, she had many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Pastor Isai Quinonez officiated at Hems Brothers Mortuary and Christian burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico on January 6, 2021.
