It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of MariaTeresa (Tere) Beltran on June 18, 2025. Born on February 21, 1938, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, MariaTeresa was the youngest of seven children born to Arturo Garcia and Teresa Campa. She was a woman of extraordinary warmth, deep faith, and unwavering devotion.
MariaTeresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Ricardo Beltran. They met in elementary school and later worked at the Fiscal Agency in Nogales, Sonora. It was during a fateful dance that they began dating and fell in love. They continued their long-distance courtship while Ricardo was posted in the United States Army. On September 6, 1964, she married Ricardo in the Catholic Church. They built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Together they raised their four children in the Imperial Valley, El Centro, California.
MariaTeresa belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she was a member of the parish group Los Guadalupanos, and served faithfully as Minister of Liturgy (Reading). She led the Rosary group, offering her voice and heart in service for years. MariaTeresa was also a member of the Hispanic American Mutalist Association, where she held roles as President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
She is survived by her devoted children: Myrna, Ricardo, Arturo, and Sylvia; her grandchildren: Jasmin, Edwin, Sylvia, Susie, Ricardo III, Amanda, Elissa, Alexus, Briana, Arturo, Jason, Audrey, and Aaron; and great-grandchildren: Aiden, Zoey, Eliza, Lydia, Aubrey, Christopher, Avery, Alessandra, Isabella, Daniel, Ariana, Giana, Stephen, Carter, Tessa, Raelyn, and Blakely. She touched all her family and friends with kindness, humor and unwavering love.
A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on July 25, 2025, with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro, California. Interment of Ashes will take place at Evergreen Cemetery 12 p.m.. Luncheon to follow at Imperial Valley Food Bank Community Room 486 W. Aten Road, Imperial, CA. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Maria Teresa's life. May she rest in eternal peace.
