Michael J. Betancourt,
44, of Yuma, AZ passed
away on September 11,
2015. Michael was born
August 24, 1972 to Joe and
Elvira Betancourt in El
Centro. He was the
youngest of the five
brothers and three sis-
ters. he attended Central
union High School. He
served the U.S. Army
from 1999 to 2003. He
graduated from High
Tech Institute in Phoe-
nix, AZ, September 2002.
He worked for NCR in
Yuma, AZ for 9 years. Michael was a quiet,
funny guy with a sense of
humor. He enjoyed going
to the desert with his
friends. Michael was preceded
in death by his parents
Joe and Elvira Betancourt
of El Centro; brother,
Robert Betancourt, and
Robert Betancourt Jr. Michael is survived by
Alfonso Betancourt (Th-
eresa), Danny Betancourt,
Estella Betancourt, Benny
Betancourt (Becky),
Emma Barros, Mary Bet-
ancourt, Melinda Schie-
belhut (Keith); with nu-
merous cousins, nieces,
and nephews. Mass will be held on
Saturday, October 10,
2015 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady
of Guadalupe in El Cen-
tro.
