RA Butler, 79, of Brawley passed away Friday, December 26.
RA was born in Yuma, Arizona and moved to the Imperial Valley at the age of ten. He worked most of his life in agriculture and ranch management. He loved to see things grow, most of all he loved his family. RA met his wife, Jeanette while in high school and had been married for 61 years.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley.
Funeral Service will commence at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. Pastor Mike Laskey will officiate the services. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
RA is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Brawley; daughters, Linda Swearingen, Norma Schoonover, Jolene Melton and Dayna Standen, all of Brawley; son, Russ Butler of El Centro; sons-in-law, Mike Swearingen, Pete Schoonover and Billy Melton; daughter-in-law Relita Butler; ten grandsons, Shawn and Cody Swearingen, Sheldon and Jeffrey Schoonover, Bryan Melton, Wesley and Evan Standen, Micha, Joshua and Travis Butler; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Noble Butler; sisters, Gladis Pruitt and Gwen Bradford and many nieces and nephews.

I wish my brother Charles Baird was alive to write here. He and RA were real close friends. Sadly Charles passed away June 2, 2007. Prayers to the family
