Richard G. Gonzales, 77 of Brawley, CA passed away on February 13, 2022 due to a tragic car accident.
Richard was born February 7, 1945 to Abraham & Jesus (Chuy) Gonzales in Brawley, CA.
He relocated to San Jose in 1967, after working in construction for a few years he went on to study to be a certified mechanic.
After living in San Jose & Riverside he moved back to Brawley and retired.
He enjoyed visiting with his fellow members of his Seventh-Day Adventist Church, going to the library, visiting the ill (until Covid 19 and his sisters put a stop to it).
Even the simplest pleasures in life like taking walks, and going to the park brought him much joy. He was known for his loud & boisterous laugh.
Richard is survived by his wife, Vera Gonzales; his children, Rosemary Gonzales, Richard (Monica) Gonzales, Anthony (Isela) Gonzales, Andrew (Sonia) Gonzales, and Richard Campos; his 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters, Becky (Armando) Escobar and Lupe Harrison as well as his brother, Ramon (Alvina) Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Abraham Gonzales Jr. and Manuel Tochi Gonzales; and his sisters, Gudelia Jauregui and Frances Lira.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 am Friday April 1, 2022 at Frye Chapel, Brawley CA followed by graveside services at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
