ROBERT WIMER ROSAS JR.
June 19, 1979 - July 23, 2009
After a courageous battle Robert passed away in the line of duty, while protecting the United States Borders on Thursday, July 23rd, 2009.
Robert was born and raised in Imperial Valley and graduated from Central Union High School and Imperial Valley College with an Associates Degree in Administration of Justice. His dream from a very young age was to become a law enforcement officer. There was never another option for him. He dedicated his life to serve our country. He enlisted as an El Centro Police Reserve. He then became a Correctional Officer at the age of 21 and worked at Centinela State Prison, until 2006 when he enlisted with United States Border Patrol.
He is the son of Sylvia Wimer and the late Robert Rosas Sr. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie Davila-Rosas. He has two beautiful children, Robert Matthew, 2-years old, and Kayla Allysa, 11-months old. Robert will forever be greatly missed by his brother, Mark Anthony Wymer and sisters, Sylvia Rubio and Arlene Brambila. His sister Rosemary Silva preceded him in death. He will forever be loved and remembered by his in-laws, Art Rubio, Hector Brambila, Edgardo, Rosalie, Robert, Andrea, Denisse, Henry, and Marla Davila, stepfather, Mark Wymer, numerous nieces and nephews, along with countless family and friends whom were blessed to know him.
Robert was a devoted father and loving husband. He loved coaching and playing baseball, spending quality time with his family and friends as well as working to ensure the safety of our country as a Border Patrol Agent. Robert touched the lives of many people with his smile, enthusiasm and his positive attitude. Robert will continue to radiate his love and strength even after his passing. He will never be forgotten for his courage and dignity.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 at Faith Assembly Church, 320 South J St, Imperial, CA, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31st, 2009, at 9 a.m. at Southwest High School Performing Arts Theater, 351 Ross Avenue, El Centro, CA and will proceed to Evergreen Cemetery, 202 E. Gillett Rd, El Centro, CA.

Saying goodbye is never easy
It's the hardest thing to do
But what hurts even more
Is not the chance to say it to you.
Yesterday is just a memory
Our laughter was sunny and bright
Then clouds started to gather
For you were nowhere in sight.
You were my Friend
And this I will never forget
How you left without a warning
No good-byes, my only regret.

My deepest sympathy to Robert's family, friends, and those who ever came in contact with him. Robert's story has touched my heart. May God bless everyone during this difficult time. May this tragedy never be forgotten, but more importantly, may the person, Robert, be remembered and honored. Rosalie, I don't know you, but as a mother, I know you will be strong for your children. That's what mothers do. I have faith that when you don't feel strong, you will get whatever you need from God through your new guardian angel. May God bless you always.

Rosalie,
You and your babies now have a guardian angel for protection and guidance. I know he will always be right beside you, he loved you so much, he never gave up on you. Robert Matthew and Kayla Allysa will always be so proud of him. He lives on in them, they will help keep you strong, but of course with a little help from their daddy. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. He will always live forever in our hearts and memories.

To the Rosas & Davila family,
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our beloved friend Robert for all the memories. I will always treasure our highschool days when in the hallways at Central we would casually meet and he would greet me with a smile telling me "waz up cousin". Rosalie, it was a pleasure and a privilege to have known Robert and truly enjoyed meeting your beautiful kids. I regret the circumstances that allowed me to be closer to your family, but I am sure that you will see all the beautiful qualities Robert had in your children as they grow up. May their lives help you overcome the deep sorrow you are enduring at this time.
"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelations 21:3,4

It's NOT death; it's a changing of worlds. A world where Robert is whole & in no pain. We do not understand & we ask over & over...why? But please know that God will get you Rosalie, your two beautiful babies & all of Robert's family/friends thru this sad time. May God wrap his arms around you all, protect you, comfort you & help ease your pain. And Robert, rest in peace & thank you for all of your law enforcement service.

We will remember him as we put our uniforms on every day and face the challenges that Robert faced, as well. May God give you peace in your heart.

The lord only takes those that are most faithful to his will. Robert's soul is with jesus. There he can think and feel and love, and play, and even work. And he is perfectly happy, because he is with jesus. And jesus has made his place in heaven just exactly what robert likes best. His body now is perfect with no injuries or hurt or sickness. Because jesus came to earth and died and came back to life,Rob will live forever in heaven with christ. And forever doesn't ever end. We don't know exactly what heaven is like or even where it is. The bible says that heaven is tooo wonderful for our minds to understand, but if u close your eyes and imagine what jesus might be preparing for us...you would have peace in your hearts and know that our robert is in perfect hands!! Rosalie and babies I'm sooo sorry for your loss. You will be in my prayers. Is there anything I can do for you?, if so feel free to contact me...I curently live in washington state but I will take the extra mile for u and your babies to help you in your needs. Rosalie,
I just wanted to write a little note so you know that I am thinking of you in your time of loss. I know how that feels and all I can say is that as days go by, you will feel happy...,sad..., and one day you will be able to remember without sad feelings but happy ones and talk about him with friends and family. You are a wonderful caring nurse and will use your life experiences to help others in need.

Robert, what moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you LIVED. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
Rosalie, my friend, although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, I pray that one day you can find comfort in your cherished memories! I will always be here for you!

To Agent Rosas's mother, stepfather, wife and children. There are a lot of beautiful words and prayers that are said at times like these. Beautiful words and prayers are very comforting and they do help us in dealing with our pain, but not one of those beautiful words or prayers help the pain of losing a child, husband and father. This terrible tragedy has opened up a lot of wounds in our lives. Our son was also a Border Patrol Agent stationed in Yuma, Arizona. He’s EOW was 1/19/08. We still feel the pain like it was that day. Please accept our most heartfelt condolences and never loose your faith in God.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
