Audrey Odell Moore

Funeral services for Audrey Odell Moore, age 78, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church, with Pastor Gregory Truwe officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Moore died on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her residence.

Audrey was born on September 25, 1934 in Lynchburg, VA and was raised in Phoenix, AZ, the daughter of the late Ballard A. and Mary L. Wright Bullion. She was married to retired Colonel Harrell Moore who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Arizona State University. She was a very active military wife, having served as the President of the Officer's Wives Club at the England Air Force Base in Alexandria, LA. She was also active in various Lutheran Churches throughout her life. She was a school teacher, mother and Life insurance agent during her career. She served as a dietitian at the former Parkway Hospital currently Regional Hospital of Jackson and had been in retail sales with Belk and Goldsmith's as well as a member of the Garden Club of Jackson.

She is survived by three sons, Harrell "Hal" Moore II and wife Kae of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael K. Moore and wife Ruth of Lake Forest, IL, and John Moore and wife Tara of Harrison, TN; a brother, Pat Rankin and wife Harriett of Sun City, AZ; eleven grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Kathy, Desiree' Darshelle, Savannah, Kahle, Joel, Michael, Joelie and Sarah, and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ballard "Bo" Bullion.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or to Concordia Lutheran Church, 637 Wallace Road, Jackson, TN 38305.

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., at Arrington Funeral Directors, 148 W. University Parkway, (731) 668-1111. www.arringtonfuneralgroup.com.

I was truly blessed to have this beautiful woman as my Aunt and will miss her so very much. She was so special to me and so very kind in every sense of the word. Rest in peace, Aunt Audrey, and may God bless you and be with you and your family now and always.
