Edward Lott Obituary

Funeral Mass for Mr. Edward John Lott 86 will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church with Father Jim McCarver officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Lott died Tuesday June 8 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Saint Louis MO son of the late Joseph Frank and Theresia Lenheart Lott. Mr. Lott served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was an ex P.O.W. in Germany. He participated with the Toastmasters was a member of the American Legion Post 12 V.F.W. Post 6496 and was a Communicant of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. He was a retired project engineer for Piggly-Wiggly Manufacturing Corporation. Mr. Lott was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Dorothy Marie Mosbecker Lott in November of 1982 and two sisters Evelyn Lott and Gladys Raleigh. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Diane and husband Norman Rhodes of Tiptonville TN; a son James E. 'Jimmy' and wife Shirrell Lott of Jackson; five grandchildren Joseph E. Lott Theresia Marie Lott Mark Evan Lott James Norman Rhodes and Ashley Marie Rhodes; six great grandchildren including Allison Lott Carrie Lott and Trey Rhodes; a sister Lorene Sanford of California. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. today at the funeral home. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home 731-424-2424
