Francis Presson Obituary
Visitation for Francis Tennery Presson, age 85, of Jackson, TN, will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel. A private graveside service will be held.
Mr. Presson passed away at his residence on March 26, 2011.
He was born on October 31, 1925 in Jackson, TN to the late Norman Ivan and Mary Isabel Presson. Mr. Presson was a member of the West Jackson Baptist Church. He served our country in the Navy during the WWII and Korean wars. He worked for ICG Railroad for 47 years before retiring and was director of ICG Credit Union for many years.
Mr. Presson is survived by his wife of 61 years, Harriet Shires Presson; a son, Stephen Francis Presson and wife Cindy of Byhalia, MS; two grandsons, Matthew and Justin Presson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Presson is preceded in the death by 3 brothers and a grandson, Christopher Stephen Presson.

Steve and Mrs. Presson, Robert called me and let me know of the loss or Mr. Presson. It has been many years since we have talked and many more since I last spoke with Mr. Presson. Steve, so many years ago it was obvious the greatness of the stock you came from. Your parents were great people and instilled in you the values that made you the man you are today. Continue on in his honor and the memories of him will always be yours to hold.

Mom told me of your loss and I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am. I know you will hear this over and over, but Mr. Presson is in a better place and he is there preparing for a glorious reunion one day.
