George A. Pendleton

George A. Pendleton, age 81, of Jackson, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 with his family by his side.

Born August 31, 1930 in Jenkins, KY, he was the retired Superintendent of Schools for the Beaver Eastern School District, a position he held for 26 years. George was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church, Christ United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach, SC and most recently Northside United Methodist in Jackson. He is a member of the Waverly Masonic Lodge, the Gideons International, Lion's Club and was an Air Force veteran.

Immediate family members surviving are his wife of 50 years, Patricia Yeagle Pendleton; daughter, Ann Sage; son, Kyle Pendleton; granddaughter, Sophia Sage; brother, Joe Pendleton; sisters, Alice Horn, Beatrice Crane and Evelyn Bates; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Dexter Pendleton.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Northside United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating.

Mrs. Pendleton, Ann and Kyle,
You all are in my thoughts. You exemplified a loving wife, daughter and son. Mr. George would be so very proud of you all. Mrs. Pendleton, I so much appreciated your friendship while in the hospital. You did an amazing job:)
