Kenneth Wayne Flippo

Milan, TN - Kenneth Wayne Flippo passed away on January 7, 2018, at the age of 71. He was born on July 12, 1946, to the late Frank and Kathryn (Hardin) Flippo. He grew up in Jackson, Tennessee where he was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church and graduated from Jackson High School in 1964. Ken graduated from Union University with a B.S. degree in 1968. While at Union, he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. After college, Ken served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Biddle in Vietnam. In 1976, Ken received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with honors from the University of Tennessee, and worked as a pharmacist until his retirement in 2012.

Ken was a member of the MEGA board in Milan and attended the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid reader of history and loved to walk his dog, Ginger. Ken also loved listening to Beatles music, watching black and white movies, and sitting on the porch watching the world go by.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kay Robinson Flippo of Milan, Tennessee and his son, William Bryant Flippo (Laura) of Nashville, Tennessee.

The service for Ken will be on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with visitation from 11:00 to 1:00, followed by his funeral service at 1 pm. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 6083 South 1st Street, Milan, Tennessee 38358.
