I worked for Mr. Utley for 21 years. He was a great mentor and friend. My sympathy for the family in their loss, but I know he is in a better place and not hurting now. He fought the cancer for 4 years when they told him he had maybe a year. He enjoyed a good fight, especially if he could prove them wrong.

I wish to express my sincere sympathy to all of the Utley family. Mr. Utley was always very kind to me during my 15 years in General Sessions Court. May Mr. Utley rest in peace and may God give the family peace and comfort and the days ahead.

I have very fond memories of Uncle Lloyd...he was always friendly and a very down-to-earth person. He always greeted you with a big warm smile and a handshake. I remember visits as a child to Uncle Lloyd's and Aunt Sissy's house and how much at-home you always felt there. Uncle Lloyd was a warm and giving person and raised four wonderful children (My Cousins). It is sad that he is gone, but a blessing that his suffering has ended. He will be missed, but our fond memories will endure forever.
