Vicki Birdwell Obituary
Age 56, died Friday, July 11, 2014.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial to follow at Seminary Methodist Church Cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Vicki Birdwell is survived by her husband, Charles Birdwell of Greenfield; her mother, Evelyn Manning of Mercer; her sons, Jason Rankin (Marybeth) of Bemis, Chris Rankin (Brandi) of Milan, Roger Birdwell (Leslie) of Greenfield; her sister, Sharon West (Glenn) of Mercer; her brother, Gary Manning of Mercer; her aunt, Mae Hemby of Mercer; her nephew, Shane West (Sara) of Holly Springs, NC; and her seven grandchildren, Bethany Cole, Anna Blankenship, Haden Rankin, Emma Rankin, Jason Rankin Jr., Landon Birdwell, and Emalin Birdwell.

She was a legend at Camp Bluebird for not wanting to miss a thing, even when she felt bad. She never complained. She will be sorely missed. Loved her dearly.

My deepest sympathy to the Birdwell family. "Ms. B" will forever have a special place in the most sacred part of my heart. It's educators like her-those with humility, genuine concern for their students, humor,and motivation that continue to produce successful individuals. Ms. B had a special way with her students and people in general. We loved her and she loved us. I'll never forget the good times in her geometry class, FTA Conventions (the most memorable when we were doing the electric slide and she slipped-oh, did we laugh together), her love for her family, and that smiling face. She will always have a place as one of my favorite teachers. I'm so happy God introduced us. Rest peacefully, Ms. B and be strong family!
