William Ling Braly

Funeral services for William Ling Braly 78 will be held at 11:00 AM Monday March 28 2005 from the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mr. Braly died on Friday March 25 2005 at his residence. A native of Chester County TN he was born on April 17 1926 the son of the late John Leroy and Virginia Burkhead Braly. He graduated for Chester County High School and served his country in the United States Army during WWII where he received a Purple Heart and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a former employee of Consolidated Aluminum for seventeen years and later was employed by the U. S. Postal service as a carrier retiring in 1989 after Twenty three years of service. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife of forty years Mary Braly in June of 1987. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Agoga Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years Camille Collie Braly of Jackson; two sons Terry Lain Braly of Brentwood TN and Kenneth Ling Braly of Jackson; a step-son William Clark Lindsey of Jackson; two step-daughters Melissa Forsythe of Corinth MS and Paula Cupples of Jackson; two sisters Betty Jo Mathis of Oak Ridge TN and Frances Clifford of South Haven MS; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother John Howard Braly and a sister Karen Fiveash. Pallbearers to serve will be Bryan Braly Terry Forsythe Casey Frederick Robert Valientes Justin Baily Gavin Lindsey Coty Trimmer and Darren Lindsey. The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Calvary Baptist Church co Expansion Fund 119 Oil Well Road Jackson TN or the American Cancer Society 2935 Highway 45 By-Pass Jackson TN .
