Alvin Rudd Obituary

Alvin Clarence Rudd Sr., 71, of Marianna died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City.
A native of Gadsden County, Mr. Rudd had resided in Jackson County most of his life. He was a retired carpenter and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter W. and Maggie Rhodes Rudd; and one sister, Alma Mayo.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Rudd of Greenwood; two sons, Alvin Rudd and Michael Rudd and wife, Lindsey, all of Cottondale; two daughters, Mary Sue Rudd of Cottondale, and Tammy Tyus and husband, Bill, of Marianna; one brother, Noel Rudd and wife, Kathryn, of Greenwood; three sisters, Doris Conway of Tallahassee, Mary Ann Clark of Lovedale, and Betty Moats and husband, Roy J., of Crawfordville; and six grandchildren.
The graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. CDT, Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Greensboro, with the Rev. Jerry Mears officiating, and James & Sikes Funeral Home - Maddox Chapel directing.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, at Maddox Chapel.
