The family received friends from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Eastern, prior to the funeral service. The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Eastern Monday, June 6, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Blanche was born May 9, 1919 in Helen, Ala., the daughter of Ed Scipper and Elizabeth Blanche Pittman Scipper. She was a graduate of Sneads High School and was a retired vital records clerk for Gadsden County Health Department. She was a member of the Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Eddie Scipper and his wife Theresa of Sneads, Brenda Sherrod of Sneads, Wylene Herndon and her husband Woodrow of Tallahassee, Murdene Poole of Sneads, Linda Windsor and her husband Larry of Phenix City, Ala., and Wendell Radford and his wife Karen of Los Angeles; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; and her caretakers, Barbara Ann Wallace of Donalsonville and Valencia Ridley of Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Moyd; and her brothers, Willie L. Scipper, Edward T. Scipper and Charlie R. Scipper.
