That quiet smile and soft voice
were the perfect disguise for Uncle
Carl. His quick wit could always
catch you by surprise. I can still
hear Mom talking about how much she
loved her brothers - even if they
did tease her now and then. I
marvel at the closeness of a family
that endured wars, hard times, and
incredible change. Love made it
possible - and love sustains us
now. We're thinking of you at this
difficult time, and finding solace
in knowing that Uncle Carl made the
world a better place. God bless
you.
