Carlos Pedroza-Aceves Obituary
Carlos Pedroza-Aceves, age 72, of Lafayette, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East.
Born on February 4, 1943 in Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico, he was the son of the late Jose Pedroza Acosta and Felicitas (Aceves) Lopez.
He married Lucia (Flores) De Pedroza on February 13, 1972 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and she survives.
He worked at Derniere, a shoe factory, as a supervisor for 25 years. He enjoyed watching professional soccer, especially Atlas. He loved spending time with his family and liked to go on bike rides.
Surviving with his wife are his children: Gabriela Silva, Griselda Pedroza, Leon Carlos Pedroza (Veronica), Jose Luis Pedroza (Rosa), Araceli Pedroza (Ubaldo) and Jorge Pedroza (Monica) all of Lafayette, siblings: Rosendo Pedroza of Mexico, Jose Luis Pedroza of Los Angeles, CA, Pedro Pedroza of Mexico and Fernando Pedroza of Mexico, and 22 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Raquel Pedroza and a sister: Maria Pedroza-Aceves.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with a Rosary Service at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the church with Rev. Fr. Tim Alkire celebrating. Interment at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
