David Leroy Stingley

David Leroy Stingley, of Columbia TN, formerly of Clarkston and Pontiac, MI died August 23, 2012 at 71 years of age. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Stadler) for 46 years. Loving father of Debbie (Brad) Karnafel of Las Vegas, Mersadies Devlin of USAF-Little Rock, AR, Tammy (Greg) Geisler of Lapeer and Margaret Stingley of Las Vegas. Dear grandfather of David, Eris, Sophia and Noah. Also survived by his siblings Katherine LaFon, Mary Tilford, Laura (Jim) Prough and George Stingley all of Lafayette, IN. Preceded in death by his parents William and Laurabelle (Gushwa) Stingley as well as 8 siblings; Bill Jr., Grace, Dorothy, Ellen, Jim, Lee, Vernon and John. Dave graduated from Rossville High School in 1961, served in the US Air force from 1961-1965. He worked nearly 40 years for GM/ Pontiac Motor Division as a pipefitter/plumber journeyman. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. Funeral Service Friday, August 31, 2012, 10 AM at Coats Funeral Home, Clarkston, MI (8909 Dixie Hwy). Interment following at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3-9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to The Oncology Cancer Care Center of Maury Regional Medical Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
