Favio Leon Obituary
Lafayette - Favio E. Leon, 74 of Lafayette passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
Favio was born on May, 7, 1943 in Cd. Manuel Doblado Gto., Mexico to the late Rafael Leon Guzman and Maria Onate Fonseca.
He was married on November 18, 1978 in Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico to Maria De La Luz Leon.
Favio was a self employed farmer and businessman for most of his life.
He was a parishioner at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Favio enjoyed working in his garden. He also loved to travel and he liked to get lost to know where he was. Most of all Favio enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play soccer and spending time with his family.
Surviving with his wife, Maria are his children; Fabio Abel (wife, Luz Maria Porras) of Cd. Manuel Doblado Gto., Mexico, Magdalena (Craig) Emmert of Yorkville, IL, Juan David (Alejandra) Leon of Greencastle, PA, Renato (Esmeralda) Leon of Logansport, Jorge Leon of Lafayette, and Maria Isabel (Timur) Urmeyev of Aurora, CO, his siblings; Beatriz, Salvador, Angelina, Carmelita, Gloria Arcelia, and Gustavo. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Luz Arely, Daniela Itzamar, Ximena, Paul, Anna, Eric, Ishah Liliana, Seth Gabriel, David Alexander, Lizzet, Cesar, Omar, Leah, Abel, and one on the way, Rafael and one great grandchild, Emiliano Guzman.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Magdalena Salazar Conchas and siblings; Carmen, Rafael, Andrea, Socorro, Luz Maria, Antonio, and Javier.
A Mass of Christian Burial we be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Mark Walter officiating.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette.
Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery on Tuesday.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Ann's Soup Kitchen in memory of Favio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
