Glen Merrill German

Glen Merrill German, 74, of West Lafayette, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare.

Glen was born in Otterbein, IN on January 1, 1939 to the late Merle and Violet Bower German. Glen is survived by his ex-wife, Ruth Willits German of West Lafayette, and they remained close friends until his death.

Glen served in the Army National Guard in his early adult years. Glen worked until his retirement as a sales and businessman for Elmer's Auction in downtown Lafayette, in addition to owning his own furniture moving and delivery businesses.

Glen enjoyed spending time with his family, playing card games, vacationing, reading Western novels and watching Western television show and movies.

Glen is survived by his three children; Deborah Reagin of Lafayette, David German (wife: Susan) of Bossier City, LA, and Steve German of Delphi, IN. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Amber German of West Lafayette, Michelle Reagin and Amanda Kohl of Lafayette, Carissa (husband: Howard)Sucher of Parkland, FL, April (husband: Shaun) Jones of Petersburg, ND, Christopher German of Bossier City, LA, and Preston German of Delphi, IN, and six great grandchildren, and a sister, Carolyn Miller of Lafayette.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Rosenberger.
