Jacqueline Blissett Obituary
Jacqueline J. Blissett, 68, of Brookston, formerly of Monon, died at 10:45 pm, Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 4, 1946 in Lafayette and adopted by the late George and Lucille Eckert. She was a 1964 graduate of North White High School. On October 9, 1964, she married the love of her life Steve Blissett at the Reynolds United Methodist Church, Reynolds.
Jackie worked for 6 years at Lafayette Venetian Blind and for 19 years at Wabash National. She enjoyed auctions, antiques, her garden, animals, and fishing. Above all else, Jackie cherished her time spent with her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Steve Blissett of Brookston; 3 sons, Mark Blissett (wife: Mechele)of Battle Ground, Craig Blissitt (wife: Andrea) of Brookston, Derrick Blissett (wife: Lori) of Brookston; 3 grandchildren, Luke, Emma, and Naomi; 2 brothers, Doug Eckert (wife: Cheryl) of Ohio, Ronnie Eckert of Monticello; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucille Eckert and her first born son, Anthony.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 13, 2014 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Mathias, of the Brookston Church of Christ officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's name to the Indiana Sheltie Rescue.

I worked with Jackie at LVB and loved her! She was so funny but most of all helped me so much at the vertical table. I have never forgotten the memories we shared and the blueberry muffins she often brought from the bakery in Brookston. She talked about her boys all the time and she was loved by every one there. I am sure she will be missed by her family and friends. She was a wonderful person and had a heart of gold. Rest my friend and fly high with the best of angels. I am sorry Steve and sons and grand kids for the loss of a truly amazing woman.
