Jeffery Rice Obituary
Jeffery Rice, 56, of Lafayette, died peacefully at his Attica home on August 3, 2016. Mr. Rice was born January 16, 1960, in Cincinnati, OH, to Kash and Malissie (Engle) Rice.
He attended Southwestern High School in Lafayette, IN. He continued his education in the National Guard where he served his country for 8 years. Mr. Rice was employed as a Union Painter for 20 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, mushroom hunting, fishing, watching the Colts, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his children: Jeffery Travis Rice Jr. of MI and Zach Misner of IN; his 2 brothers: Kash Neal (Susan) Rice of Hays, KS, and David Lee (Tina) Rice of Attica, IN; and a sister: Shirley Ann (Wayne) Dale of Lafayette, IN; 3 grandchildren: Sydney, Connor, and Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Arrangements are with Hippensteel Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Hall in Lafayette (2555 S. 30th St., Lafayette, IN 47905). The officiating pastor will be Mark Ramey.
