"Uncle Johnny," as I grew up calling him (though a 2nd cousin) was a prominent figure in my early childhood when we lived in Brookston. I always enjoyed going out to the Sinclair service station he had. He had a way with little kids that made them comfortable.
My last memory of Uncle Johnny is when Mom and I drove through IN on a road trip from NM to NY. We spent a couple of times together from dinner one night and the next day we spent all day together in Brookston visiting the cemetery, seeing Great Grandmother´s house and visiting with Juanita Waugh. He was a delight to be around and lovingly spent time at his wife´s graveside while we were at the cemetery.

He was known to me as my Uncle Johnny even though he was my Mothers (Phyllis) first cousin. I remember always enjoying being with him even as at the age of 3-5 when we lived in Brookston and wed go to the gas station he ran or on Moms and my last trip there together has he showed me the family graves. May he Rest In Peace and may Margene and JT know comfort and peace. Love and Prayers, Melinda
