Linda Swingle Obituary
Linda Louise Swingle, 68, of Lafayette, IN died at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette 9:10 PM Monday August 15, 2016 where she had been a patient since Friday. Linda was born in Zanesville, OH September 5, 1947, the daughter of the late William Harrell and Lela Louis Barlow Dobbins. She retired from Eli Lilly and Co. in 2007 as a master data steward, having been employed with them since 1981. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing card games. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving is a daughter, Valerie L. Titus Delp (James) of Lafayette; a son, Christopher L. Swingle (Jenifer L.) of Lafayette; two brothers, Edward and Glenn Dobbins of Newark, OH and a sister Leitha Archer of Olathe, KS. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, William, Kelly, Misty, Savannah, Annie, Chase, Jordan, Megan and Alexandria; and by two great-grandchildren, Mason and Theron. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette, IN from 12:00 PM until the service at 2:00 PM Saturday, Pastor Henry Bell officiating.
