Marilyn P. Cary, 77

Marilyn Pauline (Farlow) Cary, 77, of West Lafayette, died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital.

Born on April 5, 1935, in Kempton, she was the daughter of the late Fred D. and Pauline Farlow. Marilyn was raised in Anderson and graduated from Anderson High School.

She married Robert Eugene Cary on December 27, 1957, and they were married for 35 years. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1992. She was a telephone switchboard operator while living in Anderson and a homemaker. Marilyn was a Christian woman who loved working on crafts.

Surviving are her children, Charlene (Burns) (husband: Michael) Markley, of West Lafayette, Robin (husband: James) Hottum of Baltic, S.D. and Eugene D. Cary, of West Lafayette; a sister, Betty Burris of Marion; a brother, Max Farlow, of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Melissa Burns, Terri Lynn (husband: Joe) Alilovich, Robert Wayne Bishop and Heather Hernandez; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Hippensteel Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2 p.m; Pastor Dwight Herin officiating.
