Marlene Hornback Obituary

Marlene M. Hornback, 78

Marlene M. Hornback, 78, of Monticello, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the White Oak Health Campus, of Monticello. She was born on Sunday, October 1, 1933, in Francesville, to the late Alvin and Pearl (Boehning) Getz and lived in White County for most of her life.

Marlene was a 1951 graduate of the Francesville High School, in Francesville. On October 7, 1951, at the United Methodsit Chruch in Reynolds, she married David C. Hornback. He survives. She was a dedicated Christian and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1961. Marlene was a wonderful homemaker who loved her family and grandchildren. Her family and faith were her life.

Marlene is survived by her husband, David C. Hornback, of Monticello; her daughters, Pamela (husband: John) Cox, of Dallas, Texas and Lisa (husband: Perry) McWilliams, of Monticello; her son, Jeffrey Hornback, of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Amanda Hornback-Estridge, of Carmel, Andrew (wife: Jen) McWilliams, of Nashville, Tenn., Michael Hornback, of Monticello, and Taylor (husband: Ben) Irwin, of Indianapolis; her great-grandson, Jake McWilliams, at home in Nashville, Tenn.; and her sisters, Mary Westphal, of Francesville, Gloria Brown of Pulaski, and Diane (husband: Ron) Wolford, of Coon Rapids, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Pearl (Boehning) Getz.

Visitation was 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, with service 3:30 p.m. today at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello. Burial will take place at I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery, of rural Monticello.
