Robert Riegle Obituary
MISHAWAKA — Robert J. Riegle, 85, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born on February 20, 1928 in Lafayette, IN, to the late Chester and Cecilia (Shank) Riegle. Robert graduated from Purdue University & proudly served in the US Navy. He retired in 1991from retail management after 38 years at Marshall's and Robert Hall. Robert previously attended St. Ann's Catholic Church, Lafayette, IN.
Survivors: loving wife, Nancy Riegle; daughters, Suanne M. (Ron) Smith of Elkhart and Kathy A. (Patrick Lower) Riegle of Cincinnati, OH; sons, Kurtis J. (Mary) Riegle of Decatur, IL and Kenneth E. Riegle of South Bend; grandchildren, Benjamin K. Riegle of Lafayette, IN, Molly E. (Steve) Jarrard of Tinley Park, IL, Justin S. (Brittany) Smith of Mishawaka, IN, Taylor, Nathan and Hannah Riegle of Chatham, IL; and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Chadwick, Mary Lillis Marsh and Jane Kibler; and brothers, Chester Riegle and William "Mousy" Riegle. Services: 4 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2013, Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, where friends may visit two hours prior. Private inurnment: Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
