Robert Tignor Obituary

Robert D. Tignor, 74

Robert D. "Bob" Tignor, 74, of West Lafayette died at 8:45am on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.

He was born December 16, 1937 Corydon to the late Clarence A. and Alice (Whitman) Tignor.

Mr. Tignor worked for Peoples Welding in West Lafayette.  He collected guns and enjoyed nitro RC cars.  Mr. Tignor also enjoyed four wheeling and fishing. He was mechanical, enjoyed tinkering and making things. He enjoyed his dog Missy. 

He is survived by his significant other, Marie Becker; daughter, Kimberly (Ted) McCormick of Mesa, AZ; son, Robert (Dannielle) Tignor of West Lafayette; two brothers, Jerry Tignor of Lafayette , Herschel Nale of Corydon; three sisters, Janette (Butch) Mull of Monticello, Rebecca (Gordon) Mullendore of Lafayette, Debra (Richard) Parks of Kokomo ; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with funeral services following at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Ross Terry officiating.

Burial will be at Riverview I.O.O. F. Cemetery with full military rites. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
