Russell Ticen Obituary
Chesapeake, VA - Mr. Russell (Russ) Willard Ticen, born on February 24, 1938 in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Leslie and Hettie Fleenor Ticen, passed away at age 80 on September 22, 2018, in Chesapeake, Virginia. In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his brother, Richard. Russ is survived by his wife, Pam (Mead); his second wife, Shirley (Kerr), three stepchildren (Craig Spear, Douglas Spear, Andrea Eli), six step grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren; his first wife, Shirley (Frosch) and their children, sons Jeffrey (Susan) and Kerry (Shelley Mitchell), and daughter Lisa Pechin, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Russ was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson High School and a practicing, registered land surveyor in the Lafayette area since the mid 70's. In the mid 1990's, he retired as owner of Ticen Surveying and relocated to Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Interment will be a private, family gathering at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to share stories and memories during a celebration of life hosted by his wife and children on Sunday, October 7 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at Teays River Brewing and Public House, 3000 South 9th St, Lafayette, IN.

Jeff, Kerry, and Lisa sorry to hear about the passing off your dad. It seems like yesterday we all lived on Fairfax. I always liked your dad and I vividly remember the VW Beetle he used to drive. The best times of my life were on that street. Take comfort in knowing that no one really dies so long as there is someone to remember them.Danny McDaniel
