Susan Mihalko Obituary
Lafayette - Susan Jane Mihalko of West Lafayette, IN died at 8:35 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Mary's Healthcare Center.
Susan was born on April 29, 1954 in Rensselaer and lived most of her life in West Lafayette. She was the daughter of Margaret Mihalko and John Mihalko (deceased). Susan graduated from West Lafayette High School.
For the past 8 years Susan has lived at the Friendship House in West Lafayette before transferring to St. Mary's in February.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Susan held a variety of jobs in the food services industry throughout her adult years.
Susan's real passion was spending time with family and taking care of her many nieces and nephews while they were younger. She spent countless hours playing games and reading books with them.
Susan was also an avid Purdue Women's Basketball fan holding season tickets for many years.
Susan is survived in death by her mother Margaret, siblings: Mary Ann Mira (husb: Bob) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Judy Toth (husb: Jim) of West Lafayette, David Mihalko (wife: Rachelle) of Fort Mill, SC and Joe Mihalko (wife: Phyllis) of Phoenix, AZ, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 followed by the service at 2 p.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Pastor Craig LaSuer will officiate with interment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of West Lafayette, St. Mary's Healthcare or ViaQuest Hospice of West Lafayette.
