Margo Moore Obituary
Born in Edgecombe County, NC on January 20, 1941; she was the daughter of the late Thomas Reynolds Kennedy and Thelma Daughtridge Kennedy of Edgecombe County. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Lemuel "Nick" Kornegay Moore; and her precious daughter, Susan Moore Craft.
Margo was a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. She was a retired title clerk having worked 36 years at Farris Motors, Inc. Margo always brought out the best in everyone she met, and she never met a stranger. She was a devoted wife and greatly loved by all her family and friends. Grandma Moore took very special joy in seeing all her grandchildren grow up and enjoyed the birth of her great-granddaughter.
Margo leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Lynn Moore Mills and husband, Bob, of Jacksonville; and son-in-law, William Hoyt Craft Jr. of Rocky Mount; and one brother, Thomas Kennedy and wife, Diane, of Rockingham. Grandma Margo will always nearby her grandchildren, Bobby and Brittiany Mills, Brooke and JD Swart, Nicholas and Logan Craft; great-granddaughter, Peyton Swart; and numerous loved nieces and nephews that she adored also.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018, in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
