Albert Park Obituary

Albert "Dean" Park of Brookville, passed away on May 27, 2024.

He was born on March 6, 1948, to Levi and Alberta (Brosius) Park and grew up on their family farm.

He was a member of the Brookville Area High School Class of 1966.

After graduation, he joined the Air Force and served his country for four years.

In 1969, Dean married the love of his life, the former Debby Knapp. Together they raised three children, Andy, Mindy and Melanie, and made their home in the community of Stanton.

He was a loving father and grandfather, affectionately known as "Poppy."

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bob, Don, Dick and Bill. He was also preceded by his beautiful daughter, Mindy, with whom he shared a birthday.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Debby; his son, Andy (Jessica) and their children, Zane (Michelle) Hackett, Audrey Park and Grace Park; his son-in-law, Terry Bowser and children, Taylor (Andrew) Godlewski, Lexie Bowser and Kasey Bowser; and his daughter, Melanie (Christopher) Bedner and children, Blaine Hemphill, Luke Hemphill, Olivia Berry and Wyatt Berry; and three great-grandchildren: Bentley Bowser, Hadlee Bowser and Remi Godlewski.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Punxsutawney.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Those wishing to honor Dean's memory should direct contributions to a charity of their choice.
