He was born on September 21, 1975, in DuBois, PA.
Justin was a hard worker and was good with his hands. He had different jobs including working in Saw Mills, Coal Stripping, Manufacturing, and others. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping.
He is survived by his parents, Samuel L. Sr., and Christine (Laukitis) Gilligan of Brockway, PA; his fiancé, Misty Dawn Cable of Corsica, PA; 2 sons, Tyler Casey of Brookville, PA, and Dylan Welch of Brockway, PA; 2 step-sons, Justin Hetrick of Sigel, PA, and Brandon Hetrick of Corsica, PA; 1 sister, Christine Kramer of DuBois, PA; 1 brother, Samuel L. Gilligan Jr., of Reynoldsville, PA; 2 nieces, Megan Campbell and Kylee Kramer. He is preceded in death by one niece, Kayla Kramer.
Family and friends will be received from 4-8pm, on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 14, 2015, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 10am. Interment will take place at the Luthersburg Union Cemetery.

Five years has gone by to quickly. The hurt has got a little less from losing him. Ever since then it's seemed like I've finally had a guardian angel looking over me. If anyone gets the chance to read this please txt me or call 814-541-3455 or e-mail. I'd like to get some more pictures of him anywhere from yr2000 to 2015. As much as we hung out we never took to many pictures we were to busy hunting fishing and enjoying each others company and forgetting about the world. That's what I loved best about him. No matter what he was always there for me even if he couldnt be in person he'd always answer my call. Even at 2am when I lived in Cali 2000 miles away and called him from Coachella fest when Tool came on. I visit his grave at least 3 times a year. R.I.P Jud

It's been a long time, my dear cousin, I love you! I'm so sorry for this loss, and all the lives you have left such precious memories with! You were all ways such a loyal friend..be at peace, I will always miss you.. I'm so sorry Chris and Sam, and everyone else... Justin is going to be soooo missed by so many..he was a free spirit and a gentle soul, and could make anyone laugh! Many prayers and hugs! We hope to try to make it to his service on monday...it not you will be in my heart always!
