Leona Davis Obituary

Leona C. Davis, 85, 117 Trailwood Lane, Crestview, Florida, formerly of Brookville, died Friday, September 19, 2014 at her home.
She was born October 3, 1928 in Knoxdale. She was the daughter of William B. and Gladys (Delp) Knapp. On June 9, 1946 in Punxsutawney, she married Harry "Dale" Davis who preceded her in death on February 28, 2003.      
She had been employed at Sylvania in Brookville and as a secretary at Milliard Fillmore Hospital for 30 years in Buffalo, N.Y.      
She was a past Cub-Scout Den Mother, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Evanagelical United Methodist, Brookville.    
Surviving are: Her son Rob Davis and wife Pamela of Crestview, Florida; Sisters Cleora Schaffer of Toledo, Ohio and Joyce Toven of Brookville; Two grandchildren and two great grandchildrenas well as several nieces and nephews.     
 She was preceded in death by: Her husband Harry "Dale" Davis, a daughter Christine Dale Davis, two brothers Richard and Burton Knapp and two sisters Myrtle Tewillger and Betty Mohney.                     
Visitation at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville was held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Funeral services followed with The Rev. Roger Howard officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Cemetery at Windy Hill, Rose Township. Jefferson County.
