Ruth Jolley Obituary

Ruth Truman Jolley, age 88, of Barnett Street in Brookville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, as a patient of the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital.
She was born on April 22, 1928, to the late Henry and Grace (Black) Truman, in Sigel, PA. She attended Sigel High School and graduated with the class of 1946. On April 25, 1950, she married Charles H. Jolley Jr., in Sigel, PA; Charles preceded her in passing on July 28, 1978.
Ruth went on to become a Registered Nurse and she began working for the Brookville Hospital. As her life moved forward she held other professional positions, some of which include working for the Pennsylvania Memorial Home, now known as the Jefferson Manor, Dr. Wayne McKinley's Office, and Brookville Home Health Service.
Ruth was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Sigel, PA, where she was an Elder and where she was able to showcase her talent as the Organist. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Church in Brookville, PA, where she was a Deacon and she was able to showcase even more of her talents as a member of the choir.
She also volunteered her time as a member of the Laurelbrooke Women's Auxiliary and she was a past member of the Red Cross.
Ruth is a great example of being a part of her community, while striving to enrich the lives of others; her friendly smile and compassionate care giving will be missed.
