Charles Cooper Obituary

MATTOON -- Charles "Ed" Edward Cooper, 40, of Mattoon, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010, at his residence. Graveside services honoring his life will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23 at the Dodge Grove Cemetery, with Pastor Del Nack officiating. The Schilling Funeral Home in Mattoon is in charge of the arrangements. Charles was born on November 7, 1969 in Mattoon, the son of James and Jackie (Brunson) Cooper. Survivors include his father, James Cooper of Mattoon; his uncles Robert Reedy and Gary Reedy and his cousins Tammy Smallwood and Tanya Brown. He is preceded in death by his mother. Ed loved to hunt, fish and joke around with everyone he knew.

Jim, I am so sorry for your loss. Wow, I justed realized Ed was born one day before my son, Mike Jr. I know Ed will be so greatly missed. I just remember seeing him at the Broomcorn Festival or your big fish/frog fry you had every year and he was always cheerful and a smile on his face. Our thoughts and love are with your. God Bless.
