I am truly sorry for your loss. There are so many people who will miss his sense of humor and one who always had a smile for you. Dave was one of my very favorite customers at CVS. I always looked forward to talking with him. He just knew how to brighten your day. He had a smile on his face when he walked in the door and one when he left. No matter how long he had to wait in line, he always greeted me with kind words and just had a way of lifting your spirits. He was such a generous and courteous human being and I have and will miss him very much. God Bless you.

Dave, Denise Ericson, myself and my brother use to run around together back in high school. He was always such fun. We have such great memories to hang on to. I saw Dave at the 20 yr class reunion and it was just like yesterday (except for getting older, grayer and such). He had that "Dave Smile" on his face. It was fun to see him again. My heart goes out to you Mary Ann. My mom just passed and it can be such a difficult time. I'm glad I just happened to be in town and could come and see you. Love and prayers to you all at this time. Dave was a very special guy! He will be missed.

Mary Ann & Family,
It saddens me greatly to hear of the loss of David and it hurts to lose great friend. I haven't seen David since Christmas 2007 when I bumped into him at Wal-mart, it was amazing and was as if we had seen each other daily. He was such an awesome young man who everyone loved to be around and he will be greatly missed. I have fond memories of Rob, Bock and David always hanging around when we lived on 20th St. it was like I not only had Rob for a brother but all 3 and my heart hurts because it is a loss to this world we live in to lose such good people so young.

Our prayers will be with you in the years to come!
Love Doug & Nancy Coffey

Mary Ann, Michelle and friend- I have known David for about 25 years. He was one of my first friends when I moved to Charleston. I am grateful for the time I had with David. I enjoyed his chocolate covered coffee beans, too! and his smile and laugh. The world seems a little less warm and fuzzy without David in it. He would always have a shoulder for you to lean on or a good laugh when you needed it. I'm going to miss him a lot. I hope you are helped by the outpouring of warm words for our David. Everyone who knew him, loved him. I am so sorry for your loss.

To the Tanner Family:
Dave was one of the most wonderful people that I have ever met. His kind and gentle voice was alway so soothing and he always had a comforting way about him. His passing deeply saddens me. Words can never say how badly he will be missed by all that knew him. He was a good soul and I know that one day, we will all be reunited again with our good friend. I will never forget when out of the blue he once said that fireflies were one of God's coolest inventions. Dave was himself one of God's coolest inventions.
I am very, very, sorry for your loss.

Remembering David: He was one person who was genuinely kind and could make me laugh. We used to work together...one of my jobs was moving stock in the store. It was very tiring and monotonous. David would give me chocolate-covered coffee beans for energy, as I came by his area. I really looked forward to that! It was a small gesture but let me know that someone cared. I will miss him. My condolences to Mary Ann, Michelle, and family. My prayers are with you.
