MATTOON - Keisha Lynn Seeley, age 34 of Mattoon, IL tragically lost her life on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
A funeral service in her honor will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at New Mercy Worship Center, 1208 Moultrie Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938; Reverend Ed Stephens will officiate. A committal service will immediately follow in Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, IL. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, located at 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938 is in charge of services.
Keisha was born on May 21, 1990, in Mattoon, IL to Kim Andrew Seeley and Tina Jeanette Curtis. She is survived by her two beautiful and beloved daughters, Bethany Embry and KaMiah Browder of Mattoon, IL; her mother, Tina Thompson and husband Larry of Mattoon, IL; brother, Chris Seeley of Toledo, IL; two sisters, Tasha Weber and husband Jason of Mattoon, IL, Lauren Thompson of Mattoon, IL; grandmother, Janet Lawhorn of Jewitt, IL; great-grandfather, Paul Burton of Toledo, IL; niece, Brooklyn Seeley of Toledo, IL; nephews, Chase Cavanaugh of Granite City, IL, Connor and Carter Weber of Mattoon, IL; best friend, Autumn Fasig and her daughter Lilly Fasig of Mattoon, IL; stepmother, Peggy Seeley of Toledo, IL. She is preceded in death by her father, Kim Seeley; grandmother, Sharon Seeley; and great-grandmother, Jessie Burton.
Keisha graduated from Mattoon High School in 2008. She was a Field Supervisor at Addus Health Care in Charleston, IL. She loved her career and formed everlasting relationships with her coworkers.
Keisha always sought for life's next big adventure. She loved walking in nature, exploring the woods and riverbeds, fishing and adding to her unique rock collection. With a knack for arts and crafts, Keisha could make nothing into something beautiful. Her heart was golden, and her intentions were pure. Keisha was everyone's friend whose impact will never be forgotten.
Above all, Keisha was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Bethany and KaMiah were the light of her life. Their mother-daughter bond was immeasurable, and the love was unconditional. Keisha's presence will be greatly missed but her memory will live on through the hearts of her loved ones.
