Anthony Watson Obituary

Anthony DeWayne Watson, Sr. was born on February 11, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Charles Willie Watson and Shirley Ann Watson. Anthony was a God-fearing man whose warmth, generosity, and spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was raised in faith at In His Steps Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where his love for God and service to others was nurtured. A dedicated and hardworking man, Anthony spent many years at the 501 Restaurant before later continuing his career at Nice-Pak. He was known for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, and the lasting impact he made on family, friends, and colleagues. Anthony had a deep love for life and found joy in simple pleasures, traveling to familiar places, exploring new cultures, and cooking meals that brought family and friends together around the table. His warm smile, generous spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though his time here was too short, Anthony's impact was profound. His love will continue to guide his family, and his memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and traditions he inspired. The family takes comfort in knowing that Anthony is now reunited with his father and that his light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved him. On Thursday, August 14, 2025, Anthony departed this life in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Watson; his grandparents, James Watson, Sr. and Maxine Watson; and his grandfather, Wallace M. Brown, Sr. Remaining to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Eureka Sheree Watson of 22 yrs; his children, Anthony DeWayne Watson, Jr., Kyran Anthony Watson, and Adarian Deshawn Watson; his loving mother, Shirley Ann Watson; his siblings, sister Michelle Jackson, brother Calvin Jackson (wife Vicki), brother Reggie Watson (wife Marsha), sister Charo Galloway, brother Nicholas Watson, brother Marcus Watson (wife Ashley), brother Charles Watson (wife Dara), and sister Kim Phillips (husband Carl). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure his life and legacy.
