Carolyn Foss, beloved mother, devoted friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 28, 1943, in Paragould, Carolyn was a lifelong resident of the area, where she was known for her warm heart and generous spirit.
A proud graduate of Greene County Tech High School, Carolyn completed her education in 1961 and soon after found her calling in the manufacturing industry. She dedicated 27 years of her life to Monroe, where her hard work and commitment earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
Carolyn had a passion for life that extended beyond her work. She found immense joy in tending to her yard and creating a beautiful home, always ensuring her house was immaculate. An avid reader, she delighted in immersing herself in murder mystery novels, continuously feeding her curiosity and love for storytelling. Carolyn was also a devoted fan of St. Louis Cardinal baseball, finding joy in cheering for her favorite team.
In addition to her personal interests, Carolyn made a significant impact in her community through her volunteer work. She selflessly gave her time as a Pink Lady at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, spreading kindness and compassion to those in need. Her faith played an important role in her life, and she attended Unity Baptist Church, where she found a sense of belonging and fellowship.
Carolyn is survived by her loving daughter, Joey (Scott) Pillow; grandchildren, Hannah Bryson and Ethan Pillow; sister, Kaye (Jerry) Marshall; brothers, David Keith (Kathy) Miller and Anthony Miller; and special cousins, Tom and Faye Wofford, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and resilience. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Eva Miller, and brothers, Dale Miller and Dickie Miller.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Heath Funeral Home. Carolyn's life will be celebrated with a service at 11 AM with Rev. Don Slatton and Tom Wofford officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Pillow, Logan Gilmore, Anthony Miller, Tom Wofford, Jerry Marshall, and Jerry "Butch" Daniels.
Carolyn Foss will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and the love she shared will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Carolyn's memory.
